SUPERBUG COVERUP? Community-associated (or -acqui…

Community-associated (or -acquired) MRSA*, if it gets into the lungs, can kill you in hours. CA-MRSA pneumonia. Nothing kills it. Canada and Europe are all over this, but you don’t hear about it as a medical layperson in the USA, even though it’s supposedly in “dozens of major cities.” It’s not in the American news media, not even the tabloids – no screaming headlines like “Lung-eating disease kills in hours, no cure!!!”

*-MRSA stands for Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. It’s a staph infection like you’ve never seen before. But if you get it in the hospital, and they diagnose it in time, they can treat it. But not if it’s Community-Acquired.

And of course, if you’re immune-compromised, you’re at greater risk.
