I guess it’s going on 2 years I’ve been taking Paregoric for my Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I posted here that it seemed to be a wonderdrug for stopping Diarrhea and reducing somewhat the time I spend on the toilet.
But problems continue and I’m still unable to work.
—It doesn’t shorten-up my time spent on the toilet enough; bowel movements still ‘come in waves.’
—It has no effect on erratic sleep patterns.
—It hasn’t restored(!) regularity.
—It not infrequently causes(?) “bricks” and “cannonballs” that clog the toilet. (You know what I’m talking about!)
I’m hoping to get my GI doc to prescribe Low-Dose Naltrexone instead. It’s still in clinical trials for IBS, but people have already used it with sparkling results.
